The provision of rent relief set by the state is coming to an end, SRE has provided rent relief in the amount of more than EUR 1.7 million

SJSC “State Real Estate” (SRE), in connection with the consequences of the spread of Covid-19, provided support to entrepreneurs in accordance with regulation No. 453 adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers, which was in force until 30 June 2021. Since 12 March of last year, SRE support has been provided in the amount of EUR 1,788,350 to 213 tenants.

 Among the most supported sectors of SRE during the pandemic are the hospitality industry, catering, beauty care, retail, entertainment. “Real estate management is a long-term process - we create sustainable cooperation with users of the premises. The ability of the capital company to flexibly adapt to the customer's needs and find solutions together is essential. Thanks to the support of the government, we have succeeded and our customers have appreciated it,” admits Andris Vārna, a member of the board of SRE.

Regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 453 “Regulations on the Application of Exemption or Reduction of Rent of Property of a Public Person and a Publicly Controlled Capital Company Due to the Spread of Covid-19” stipulates that the lessor of real estate or movable property of a public person and its controlled company shall apply the exemption or reduction of rent by no later than 30 June 2021.

“We will continue to work with each tenant individually to find solutions together that will support and help entrepreneurs recover from the crisis, as well as resume full operations,” comments Andris Vārna, Member of the Board of SRE.

Until 31 July 2021, SRE continues to accept applications from tenants in connection with the exemption or reduction of rent for the period from 1 January 2021 to 30 June 2021. To evaluate the receipt of support, SRE tenants are invited to submit confirmations of compliance with the criteria included in the regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers by sending such to vni@vni.lv. Adapting to the circumstances created by the emergency situation and the current epidemiological safety measures, SRE customer service is performed by prior appointment. Customers are still invited to use electronic communication options - 24/7 customer support is available for submitting real estate management applications - support@vni.lv or the free phone number 80002000, as well as the mobile application “VNĪ Klientu atbalsts”.
